INDUSTRY
Media
We have been working successfully with TI Media since 2017. Our partnership includes all 40 TI Media brands with around 100 apps. Particularly impressive in the digital portfolio of the publishing house is the interactive Decanter App.
About Decanter
Decanter is the world’s leading wine media brand providing authoritative content, independent advice and inspirational events and competitions. Decanter offers its subscribers over 1,000 new wine reviews every month and exclusive premium reviews and ratings. With the new app users get access to Decanter magazine articles online. In the premium edition the amount of adverts is reduced to give a better reading experience.
Decanter’s new digital appearance
The new app gives users access to Decanter magazine articles online. In the premium edition, the number of ads has been reduced to provide a better reading experience.
With this step Decanter has switched from Web only to Web & App.
With the new app, Decanter offers subscribers premium content that was previously only available on the web behind a paywall. The app also includes a wine database.

“The platform has already proven to be an efficient, semi-automated publishing platform for us. Throughout the migration process, the SPRYLAB support team was
very supportive and reliable.“
Leonard Burns, Product Manager Digital Editions at TI Media

How we have implemented it
We have built an HTML storefront that allows a fully flexible app design. We integrated the login solution “Piano” for user and subscription management. We also integrated TI Media’s own CMS (WordPress). This allows the editorial team to manage the content centrally via the CMS and publish it on the web and also in the app via the CMS. In the following we present the key features.
1 More than 1,000 new wine reviews every month

2 Current and past magazine articles on and offline

3 Exclusive Premium articles are written by experts

4 Readmode for the optimal reading experience
