The OM-Mediengruppe is a regional publishing house in northwest Germany. Its news portal om-online.de provides the Oldenburger Münsterland region and its 23 towns and municipalities with regional and national news and content. Both free and paid content is published. In addition to traditional articles, readers can also access digital versions of the print newspapers online as e-papers and multimedia content such as podcasts and video formats.

As part of a realignment of its digital platform, OM-Medien decided to replace the editor it had been using with the Purple editor. The two regional newspapers Münsterländische Tageszeitung and Oldenburgische Volkszeitung have successfully implemented their digital presence with the Purple Hub.

In their search for an alternative to the editor they were previously using, OM-Medien found what they were looking for in Purple Editorial, the AI-based multichannel publishing content management system. Purple Hub is a component of Purple Editorial and is tailored to the specific requirements of the editorial team. More efficient work in the editor thanks to selected features

The newspapers Münsterländische Tageszeitung and Oldenburgische Volkszeitung of OM-Medien inform their readers daily about the most important news from the fields of politics, society, sport, culture and business. The rapid publication of the latest news is particularly important in order to meet readers' expectations of always being informed. With the Purple Wires feature, OM-Medien can do just that. Purple Wires is an integration of the dpa system that automatically imports agency reports. The import takes place at regular intervals, the articles are saved and are available for editors to process. With Purple Wires, editors import and publish dpa reports much more efficiently.

All other content is created and published in the editor using ready-made, optimized templates. This allows the editors at OM-Medien to easily and efficiently create a variety of content - from articles and image galleries to native advertisements.

OM-Medien also benefits from the integration of our partner Kordiam's planning system, which is replicated unidirectionally in the Purple Hub. This function ensures a transparent and coordinated way of working in the editorial department. It is used to plan editorial content and work processes, manage rights and issue approvals. The tool makes collaboration within the editorial team much easier.
